The ENplus program was initiated by the German Pellet Institute in 2010. After that, ENplus continued to be developed by the European Biomass Association, with the program host being the European Pellet Council (EPC - European Pellet Council) to ensure quality. of sawdust pellets for small kilns. The certification program covers the complete supply chain from the manufacturing process to the final merchant. Therefore, ENplus Certification is a certification of the entire chain of sawdust pellets or wood pellets.
ENplus sets strict product requirements based on ground reality and presented in reference documents. Although the international standard ISO 17225-2 forms the foundation on which the program is built ENplus, but the requirements of this certification are broader, specifically in terms of mechanical strength, penalty rate or ash deformation temperature.
